GO SPURS GO!

These crowd pleasing sliders combine sweet Hawaiian rolls, savory ham, melty Swiss cheese, and a killer brushed glaze made with melted butter and hot honey.

Prep time: 10 mins | Cook time: 15 mins | Yields: 12 sliders (easily scalable)

Ingredients

The Base

  • 1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls

  • 1 lb deli-sliced ham

  • 1/2 lb Swiss cheese slices

The Hot Honey Glaze

  • 1 stick (8 tbsp) unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp Mike’s Hot Honey (add an extra tablespoon if you love a kick!)

Instructions

  1.  Preheat and Prep:Oven to 350°F.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a dab of butter.

  2.  Mix the Glaze:Melt & Whisk. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the stick of butter. Whisk in the Mike’s Hot Honey until completely combined and smooth.

  3. Slice and Base Coat:Build the bottom layer. Without separating the individual rolls, slice the entire sheet of Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half. Place the bottom half into your prepared baking dish. Brush a generous layer of the hot honey butter mixture over the cut side of the bottom rolls.

  4. Layer the Fillings:Ham & Swiss.Layer the sliced ham evenly across the bottom rolls, folding the slices slightly to create texture. Top the ham with an even layer of Swiss cheese slices.

  5. Cap and Glaze:Finish the top. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese. Pour or brush the remaining hot honey butter glaze generously over the very top of the rolls, making sure it drips down into the creases.

  6. Bake to Perfection:10 to 15 mins.

  7. Bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the tops of the rolls are golden brown and the Swiss cheese is completely melted and gooey. Serve hot right out of the pan!

Pro-Tips for the Perfect Slider

  • Keep them connected: Slicing the entire slab of rolls at once keeps the sliders uniform and prevents the fillings from spilling out during assembly.

  • Make Ahead: You can assemble these a few hours in advance, cover them tightly, and keep them in the fridge. Just brush the final glaze on top right before they go into the oven.
