San Antonio & Surrounding Area’s 2021 Spring Guide to Photographers | San Antonio Moms

Spring is just around the corner y’all! I don’t know about you guys but I love me some warm, Texas sun and those evening sunsets…can we just say DREAMY?! Seeing all the flowers in bloom always has me thinking about capturing precious moments of my family. There are so many beautiful places in and around San Antonio that make amazing backdrops for some beautiful updated photos.

San Antonio and the surrounding hill country areas have some really talented photographers. Some of these local photographers are Mamas themselves. They took something they were passionate about and turned their dreams into a reality. You guys know that the mission of the San Antonio Moms Network is to support local businesses. We take extra pride in supporting Mama owned businesses.

The following list of photographers offer different specialties. Who and what they capture are different. Their styles – both in shooting and editing are all unique to their business. They all have one common goal though and that’s to help you capture beautiful photos of your family for you to cherish year after year. With that – I present to you the 2021 Guide to Spring Photographers for the San Antonio & Hill Country Areas.

Hi I’m Celeste. I’m 25 years old and a San Antonio native! I come from a big family that’s about to get even bigger as I am engaged to my best friend and getting married next spring!! When i’m not shooting I love to explore our city and try new places to eat! My love for photography got started in high school with a couple of girlfriends coming over needing the newest and cutest facebook profile picture. We’d get all dressed up, I’d tack my sheet to the wall and we’d have an all out photo shoot right there in my living room. Little by little my passion began to grow into a career as I moved through high school and college getting to work with a diverse group of people. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to do photography full time but I couldn’t be more thankful! I love getting to meet and create with people around my community and make every session a seamless and comfortable experience. Getting to document a moment in people’s lives they get to cherish forever means the absolute world to me.

Hi! My name is Samantha. I am a San Antonio native and boy-mom. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 14 years ( feeling kinda old at this point) and we have two gorgeous boys, Matthew and Michael. I am obsessed with all things coffee, carbs, cats(I have 5!), messy mom buns and watching my boys play basketball. I specialize in posed newborn photography and absolutely cannot get enough of it. Not only do I strive to create amazingly gorgeous artwork for your home but I absolutely love connecting with new moms. Young moms hold a special place in my heart as the motherhood journey can be a rough one. I firmly believe with my whole heart that You’re A Good Mom ❤

Hi – I’m Terah. I am a native to Phoenix, AZ but we have settled and found a home in beautiful San Antonio, TX. I am a mother to a beautiful baby boy and two fur babies. I am a military spouse & wife to an unwavering husband. Terah Caitlin Photography was born out of a place of love for the Lord. A place of gratitude for the love and beauty that He has created all around us and within us. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to try and capture a fraction of that love in a photograph. I specialize in couples and wedding photography but have also found great success with family, children, maternity, and infant photography. I LOVE adventures. Take me somewhere new to shoot and we will be best friends. I can find beauty in almost any setting. I love being behind the camera so it’s hard to ever get me on the other side of it.

Hi Y’all! My Name Is Kelly. I’m the proud owner of Shutter Mist Photography. My business tagline is “Pausing Time So The Memories Don’t Go Blurry”. I am currently a stay at home Mama of two beautiful strong-willed little girls under the age of 5. Boy do I have my hands full! HAHA. I am married to an amazing partner and Dad. We’ve been married for 5 years. He’s been very supportive of all my dreams and goals and I’m truly thankful for him. I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. My family and I are currently building a new home and moving to the Boerne area later this year. We are very excited to be raising our family in the hill country burbs.

I started my photography journey in 2016 when I had my first little girl. I’ve invested a lot into learning and growing. Everything from photography courses, mentor sessions to workshops. I am a natural light photographer but love to push the boundaries and get creative. I consider myself a lifestyle photographer and will guide your session through prompts or questions. I shoot all genres but mostly attract milestone sessions, maternity and families. My biggest achievement to date was being contacted by Racal + Friends  – to capture one of their babies for their product advertisements.

I’d love the opportunity to meet and capture your family.

Hey, it’s Brandi! I’m a mom of 3. I have a 16 & 13 year old son and 4 year old daughter. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 18 years this Spring.
We are huge foodies and love to travel. Together we’ve been to 25 states and 7 countries- always with our children. We have a ranch in Rocksprings, TX and any weekend I’m not shooting, we are there or the beach. Our family enjoy days on the river, 4-wheeling, star-gazing, hiking, fishing and the boys love to hunt for food, not for sport.

I have always had a fondness for photos. I spent my 1st $40 in 4th grade on a polaroid. I started doing more photography in high school when I was doing visual arts. I’d photograph something and then paint it abstractly. I was called more to photography after visiting Ecuador on a Fulbright Grant in 2010 in college and took thousands of photos in the Amazon and Galápagos Islands.

Since 2011, I started working with families and I’ve captured thousands of sessions; weddings and portraits. In 2018, I left my career teaching high school social studies and went full time with my business, specializing in prints and building my brand.

I bring my love for hiking, climbing in a river, getting glamorous or getting messy to every shoot. I have a country/ hippie style that meets the cowgirl or the bohemian soul. For 3 years I’ve focused on creating custom albums and specialty prints for every session and every style. I don’t stick to 1 niche because I love the variety and versatility to get creative in many areas of photography. I enjoy a challenge and don’t ever want to get bored. I absolutely love what I do. It gives me joy and purpose. I re-designed my studio this year. I keep building, growing and shifting to offer the best photography experience for every client. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

My name is Anna Gutierrez.  I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX, but have lived in San Antonio/Boerne for about 24 years now.  I have been married for almost 7 years and a mom of three.  One 24 yr old daughter who is about to get married (eeeek) and 2 toddler boys who definitely keep me on my toes. I took up photography as a hobby about 10 years ago capturing milestones of my nieces and fell in love with it. I turned my hobby into a business about 8 years ago and specialize in families, maternity, couples, and seniors.  Photography is a passion of mine and I am continuously learning new techniques from education and mentors.

Hi – I’m Deanna. I moved to San Antonio, Texas, in 2012 and began work as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. I have since married, adopted my first dog, bunny, and finally graduated in 2018 with my Masters of Occupational Therapy and work as the Rehab Supervisor at a local hospital. Amidst all of these wonderful blessings, I have discovered a deeply rooted passion for photography. As a lifestyle photographer, I try and use the natural environment and lighting to the best of my ability. That said, often photoshoots are contingent on the weather cooperating, so patience and flexibility is encouraged. I believe every photo is unique and is worth more than 1,000 words. Photography is the only way to truly capture a moment in time that can never be recreated again. Photography is MY therapy and I hope to one day take a picture that is meaningful for you.

Hi – I’m Jennifer. I am a mother of four and am blessed to be married to my soul mate.  I am a lover of cheesecake and all things chocolate, a drinker of coffee, and a sorter of Skittles.  My husband, Bryan, and I are Air Force veterans. We value and respect our military members for their commitment to our country.  My sense of humor is quirky and somewhat nerdy.  I genuinely enjoy people and can be a bit on the talkative side (unless I am at a birth, I am absolutely respectful of the birth space)!  When we started out it was just me, but about 6 years ago Bryan was able to join me full time and we love that we get to work together!  Now in addition to being my “gear guy”, he assists with most sessions (except births).

People often ask how I got into photography.  The truth is it kind of just happened.  I have always enjoyed taking pictures and documenting life moments, even as a pre-teen.  In late 2011/early 2012 my camera started failing.  I knew that if I wanted to replace it I’d need to earn it, and so I started offering to do the pictures for the kids’ sports teams.  One thing quickly led to another and people started asking if I offered other kinds of sessions, so I started taking more classes and invested in my gear and education.  I decided that if I was going to do it I wanted to do it right.   I knew early on that my passion lay in working with pregnant women, newborns, and especially birth… and so it began.
